Orange Cat Opens The Air Fryer By Himself Like He’s About To Make Chicken Wings

If cats could host their own cooking show, this orange cat would already have a viral series.

In a TikTok clip shared by @k.mince, an orange cat stands on his back legs, grips the handle of an air fryer, and pulls it open with complete confidence.

He looks so sure of himself that you half-expect him to start checking if the chicken wings are crispy enough.

The entire scene has viewers convinced this little orange mastermind has been secretly watching his humans cook – and decided it was his turn.

Internet Reactions To The “Chef” Cat

Naturally, the internet fell in love.

“Now just teach him to put the fries in,” one commenter joked, while another added, “My cat learned how to open my liquor cabinet. I’m worried about him.”

Someone else wrote, “Checking to see if his fish sticks are ready,” and another added, “This cat is why I have child locks on every drawer – also orange.”

The comments quickly filled with stories of mischievous cats who’ve mastered doors, cabinets, and even fridges.

Still, some users weren’t as amused.

“This is why I can’t do potlucks,” one person said. “Cats on kitchen counters are disgusting.”

And that’s where an important question came up – just how bad is it really to let cats on counters?

Should You Let Your Cat On The Kitchen Counter?

While the idea of a cat “helping” in the kitchen sounds adorable, it’s not always a great idea.

According to veterinarians, the biggest concern is hygiene.

Cats explore all kinds of surfaces – litter boxes, dusty corners, and even outdoor areas – and whatever ends up on their paws can easily transfer to your food prep space.

Beyond cleanliness, safety is another issue.

Curious cats may brush against hot surfaces, open flames, or sharp utensils, leading to potential injuries.

To keep them safe, try redirecting their curiosity.

Offer tall cat trees or window perches nearby so they can still supervise without climbing where they shouldn’t.

If your cat refuses to stay down, gentle deterrents like double-sided tape, citrus scents, or motion-activated air sprays can help teach boundaries without stress.
